Educação ambiental no município de Entre Rios do Sul/RS

Abstract

The objective of this search was to identify the actions of environmental education (EE) that were carried out in the city of Entre Rios do Sul/RS, emphasizing the importance of environmental education as the main instrument of geographic praxis. EE, a broad and significant area of human knowledge, was built by a historical process on a global scale. The evolution of knowledge developed through EE, in front of society, happened and happens amidst the transformations forged in the relationship between man and nature. The methodological steps that enabled the fulfillment of the objectives (general and specific) were: elaboration of the bibliography review, with a view to critical reflection on EE; identification and systematization of actions aimed at EE already carried out in the studied municipality; analysis of EE actions identified through conceptual models for sustainability and EE conceptions. For the development of this work, a qualitative and exploratory approach was used, with the objective of understand how it evolved and how this debate grew stronger over time. The analysis and classification of EE actions were based on the central texts of Boff (2012) and Rodriguez and Silva (2013). In addition to the expected results of the research, the proposal contributed to academic and professional training.
