Ocorrências atendidas pelo corpo de bombeiros militar que precisaram de encaminhamento para um serviço de saúde

Abstract

Considering the increase in the number of traffic accidents, violence, and chronic non-communicable diseases in Brazil, and understanding that Pre-Hospital Care (PHC) services are an important tool to reduce the number of deaths and morbidities, studies indicate that improvements in this care could potentially reduce the number of deaths, aiming at the improvement of professional training that qualifies the assistance provided to victims treated at the Pre-Hospital. The relationship between APH and fixed emergency services must be interconnected, given the continuity of care for patients at risk of life, requiring the constant development of these professionals, so that they have the best performance when providing care. The objective of this work was to identify the types of occurrences attended by the CBM that need referral to a health service. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional retrospective study, which took place in the municipality of Chapecó, about patients who are rescued by the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade (CBMSC) and who are referred to reference health services, with the sample being defined by sampling calculation. Data collection was documented in CBMSC attendance records, and the analysis was done using descriptive statistics. The operationalization of the research began after a favorable opinion by the Ethics Committee in Research with Human Beings of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), CAAE 47843921.3.0000.5564, meeting the criteria established by National Health Council (CNS) Resolution n° 466/2012. A total of 499 records of occurrences of the CBMSC were analyzed, with a predominance of victims, young male adults, with the day of the week with the most occurrences being Friday, trauma, and external causes as the most prevalent aggravation. The study made it possible to evaluate the occurrences attended by the CBMSC in relation to the characteristics of the services. Priority topics were identified to improve the professional training of firefighters who work in ambulances in urgent and emergency care, in addition to the need to carry out other studies focused on injuries from external causes and trauma.
