Expansão do capitalismo na agricultura e arrendamentos de terras: os desafios da reforma agrária na mesorregião oeste paranaense

Abstract

The work seeks to understand the phenomenon of land leases in agrarian reform settlements in the western mesoregion of Paraná. We sought to apply the Dialectical Historical Materialism research method proposed by Karl Marx, for which, rounds of approximation with reality were made, starting from field observation of the object of study and subsequent analysis, systematization and theoretical reflections. Five of these approach rounds were constituted. For data collection, semi-structured interviews, conversation circles and property diagnoses were used. To support the reflection, the text brings the genesis of the formation of landowners and peasants in Brazil, reports the entry of capitalist relations in agriculture and their improvements until reaching agribusiness, this being an intensifier of leasing practices in rural areas. It also discusses land rent, a fundamental element in the research. The historical rescue brings the dimension of peasant relations existing in these spaces, also debating the origins of these families. In this way, in the final phase of the work, characteristics related to the factors of the founding structures of the leases are placed, along with other extractions of analysis of the reality object of research.
