| Resume: | O crescimento do Turismo na cidade de Machadinho no Rio Grande do Sul, tanto de modo social, quanto econômico, trouxe grandes mudanças para o município. Inicialmente, entende-se que o que desencadeou o surgimento do Turismo no município foi um impacto socioambiental marcado pela desapropriação de terras e por um ressarcimento financeiro da empresa MAESA, para o município, devido a instalação da UHE Machadinho. Esse recurso foi investido na construção do Parque de Águas Termais e, após a sua construção, se iniciou um processo de transformações na cidade. Esse processo ocorre até os dias atuais, modificando o espaço e trazendo novos significados ao local, tanto geográficos, quanto sociais e econômicos. |
| Abstract: | The growth of tourism in the city of Machadinho RS, both socially and economically, has brought great changes to the city. Initially, it is understood that what triggered the existence of Tourism in the Municipality was a socio-environmental impact marked by land expropriation and by a financial reimbursement from the MAESA company, to the municipality, for the installation of the Machadinho HPP, which was invested in the construction of the water park. thermal waters. After the construction of the Park, a process of transformation began in the city, which continues to the present day, modifying the space and bringing new meanings to the place, both geographical, social and economic. |
