A fotografia e o meio ambiente: percepções da natureza no acervo fotográfico da família Salvadori - Realeza / PR

Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the transformation of the landscape in the municipality of Realeza / PR, based on old photographs that are part of the photographic collection of the Salvadori Family. This study is a qualitative and comparative approach, supported by Simon Schama's reflections on Landscape and Memory, as well as by Roland Barthes, Ana Maria Mauad and Maria Eliza Linhares Borges on photography. Human action, since the origins of the dense process of colonization of Royalty, which began in the late 1950s, has promoted the transformation of the urban and rural landscape, significantly changing nature and the environment; through the selected photographs, new species of plants, considered to be exotic, were introduced into the landscape, now as a way to carry out reforestation, now to provide shade and urban ornamentation in streets, squares and avenues.
