dc.description.abstractTourism is able to change the landscape of the place, giving new characteristics and ways of living. Tourism promotes changes in the economy of the place, and mainly, a new configuration of the landscape. The landscape reflects the relationships between humans and nature. From a cultural way of view, it carries with it symbols, stories and affective feelings of those who live in it. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the construction of the "new" Itá as a tourist destination and landscape transforming agent. This research follows the precepts of cultural geography, using as a methodology, exploratory bibliographic research, official document analysis of the municipal government, newspapers analysis, photos and other official records of the city and field activity.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoO turismo é capaz de alterar a paisagem do lugar, atribuindo novas características e formas de se viver. O turismo promove alterações na economia do lugar, e principalmente, a (re)configuração da paisagem. A paisagem reflete as relações entre humanos e a natureza. No ponto de vista cultural, esta carrega consigo, símbolos, histórias e sentimentos afetivos daqueles que vivem nela. Deste modo, o objetivo dessa pesquisa consiste em analisar a construção da “nova” Itá enquanto destino turístico e agente transformador da paisagem. Esta pesquisa segue os preceitos da geografia cultural, utilizando como metodologia, pesquisas bibliográficas exploratórias, análise documental oficial da prefeitura municipal, análise de jornais, fotos e outros registros oficiais da cidade e atividade de campo.pt_BR
