| Resume: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar como os padrões de beleza construídos na sociedade se relacionam com a consolidação na indústria da moda plus size. A partir de uma revisão bibliográfica recuperamos o histórico acerca da construção social, cultural e científica dos corpos, abordando elementos que ajudaram a constituir o padrão de beleza que conhecemos hoje. Após essa análise identificamos os principais responsáveis por disseminar esse novo ideal normativo. Podendo constatar a indústria da moda e o avanço científico como elementos potencializadores dos padrões de beleza impostos. |
| Abstract: | The present work aims to analyze how the standards of beauty constructed in society are related to the consolidation of the plus size fashion industry. Based on a bibliographic review, we recover the history of the social, cultural and scientific construction of bodies, approaching elements that helped to constitute the standard of beauty that we know today. After this analysis, we identified those mainly responsible for disseminating this new normative ideal. Being able to see the fashion industry and scientific advancement as elements that enhance the beauty standards imposed. |
