Da comunicação à distância à imersão nas redes sociais: um olhar geográfico sobre as transformações no cotidiano da população de Pinhalzinho a partir da pandemia de covid-19

Abstract

Distance communication has changed the course of human history, through it it has been possible to establish networks of social interaction and far beyond that, it has transformed the forms of production and consumption of products and informational content. Currently, the dynamics of networks are already so embedded in everyday life that the transformations they cause in society seem obvious to us. During the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an acceleration in technological processes, due to social isolation, many daily activities had to migrate to digital. In other words, the pandemic accelerated globalization. However, globalization does not cover all places and people in the same way, there are variables that alter the computerization curve. In this research, we will see the case of Pinhalzinho, SC in relation to the advancement of information and communication technologies (ICTs), what transformations have occurred (and still occur) and what is the level of impact felt by the population.
