dc.description.abstractThis article aims to understand and problematize the school shootings phenomenon in Brazil, as I observed through the cases of Realengo (2011) and Suzano (2019). Aware of the relevance of this topic in the academic context, these questions whether the discourses projected about the school in the wake of episodes of extreme violence preserve the school's educational form. The methodology will be based on the political analysis of educational discourse by Plá (2022), Laclau, and Mouffe (2015). The sources used were articles about the massacres and threats found in the nationally circulated newspaper G1 and the regionally circulated ClicRDC. The theoretical framework draws on authors such as Masschelein and Simons (2017), Rodrigues (2012), Mabilde (2021), Biesta (2017), Larrosa (2021), among others. The conclusion is that the school has been under attack since its conception until today, with proposals and solutions to address extreme violence, which I refer to as "school massacres." It is our duty to protect it, ensuring the fundamental right for all: access to free, public, secular, and quality education.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste artigo visa compreender e problematizar o fenômeno School Shootings no Brasil, conforme observei através casos de Realengo (2011) e de Suzano (2019). Ciente da relevância do tema no meio acadêmico, indaga se os discursos que se projetam sobre a escola em razão dos episódios de violência extrema preservam a forma escolar da escola. A metodologia será à luz da análise política do discurso educativo de Plá (2022), Laclau e Mouffe (2015). As fontes utilizadas foram as matérias sobre as chacinas e ameaças encontrados nos Jornais G1 (circulação nacional) e o ClicRDC (circulação regional). Tem como fundamentação teórica autores como Masschelein e Simons (2017), Rodrigues (2012), Mabilde (2021), Biesta (2017), Larrosa (2021) entre outros. Conclui que a escola encontra-se sob ataque desde a sua concepção até os dias de hoje, com as propostas e soluções de enfrentamento da violência extrema que denomino por chacinas escolares, e é dever nosso de protegê-la assegurando o direito fundamental a todos: o acesso ao conhecimento gratuito, público laico e de qualidade.pt_BR
