Análise da representatividade da negritude na área de empreendedorismo: um estudo de caso em um salão de beleza

Abstract

In view of the importance of the theme in the current context, the personal interest of the author, as well as the political, economic and this study aims to conduct an investigation on the role of Afroentrepreneurship as a form of economic and social empowerment of the black community. For this, the following specific objectives were established: to analyze the trajectory of an afroentrepreneur, to identify the challenges, opportunities and overcomes faced by afroentrepreneur and to describe the impact of her business in the black community. The research adopted a qualitative approach, using descriptive research as the main objective. A case study was conducted with an afroentrepreneur who has a beauty salon focused on the black community. Data collection was performed through a structured interview, which included open and closed questions, applied to the selected participant. The research results were analyzed and interpreted, providing insights into the trajectory of afroentrepreneur, the challenges faced and the importance of black beauty in their business. The profile of the afro-entrepreneur who participated in the research revealed characteristics common to other studies, such as being a black woman, resident of São Paulo, aged between 36 and 45 years old and with education up to incomplete higher education. Through the analysis of the data, it was possible to observe that the afroentrepreneur faced difficulties to conquer her space in the market, but managed to establish and manage her own beauty salon focused on curly, frizzy and afros hair. The importance of representativeness and appreciation of Afro aesthetics was highlighted as a significant contribution to the black community.
