Abstract: | To describe the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients undergoing hepatic surgery, as well as the main reasons for surgical indication and the principal postoperative outcomes. Method: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study where a descriptive statistical analysis was conducted through the examination of secondary data. Results: Data were obtained from 74 patients undergoing hepatic surgery during the studied period. The highest prevalence occurred in females (58.1%), in individuals aged between 50 and 70 years. The primary indication for surgery was secondary liver neoplasia (43.2%), with the main access route being open surgery (70.5%). The postoperative hospital stay averaged 5 days, and fewer than 20% of patients experienced postoperative complications. Conclusion: The results provide relevant information for therapeutic decision-making by the healthcare team and contribute to the clinical assessment of patients, fostering a safer surgical approach. |
