As definições de filosofia e arte segundo Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari: da criação singular aos encontros entre os saberes

Abstract

This paper analyzes the questions concerning the nature of philosophical and artistic activity as presented and developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in their work What is Philosophy? through the reception of Brazilian interpreters of the philosophy of the French authors. Since the elementary and common definition of the two knowledges is singular and specific creation, the problem involved in this theme concerns the way in which Deleuze constitutes his own philosophy. This paper argues that the French philosopher appropriates non-philosophical resources to construct his philosophy, demonstrating the possibility and the legitimate way of realizing these encounters. Because of the need to demonstrate these relationships, the first chapter presents the author’s considerations on the nature of philosophical activity, its operations and specificities. In the second chapter, the work analyzes the specificities and what guarantees art a unique creation. The last chapter of this work condenses the foundations of the first two with the aim of finding, in the very constitution of Gilles Deleuze's Philosophical system, legitimate encounters between art and philosophy, since, being specific and independent knowledges, how the author himself make this approach. The work was concerned with the interpretation of three Brazilian authors in order to achieve these approximations and the objectives of this work, namely: The hypothesis that artistic sensations constitute and are part of the philosophical construction of French authors, based on the considerations of Roberto Machado. The problem concerning the image of thought and the influence of Marcel Proust in overcoming the impasse, based on the considerations of Caio Augusto Teixeira Souto. The influences of Fernando Pessoa's literature through José Gil's analysis on Deleuze's philosophical creation of Conceptual Characters and the Philosophical/Artistic Devir through Fernando Torres Pacheco's research. The paper concludes that considering knowledges as singular creations is the factor that guarantees and delimits their specificities and, on the other hand, it is through singular creation that it is possible to guarantee the legitimacy and foundation of the encounters between knowledges through the construction of Gilles Deleuze's philosophy.
