A percepção de profissionais de saúde em um CAPS II no norte do Rio Grande do Sul a respeito do tratamento da dependência química

Abstract

Abstract: This study is the result of research that sought to analyze the perception of health professionals about the interprofessional approach in the treatment of drug addicts in a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS II) located in the north of Rio Grande do Sul. The research expresses an understanding of the workers' vision of interprofessional cooperation in the care of patients with drug addiction, promoting destigmatization and interprofessional education, as well as contributing to comprehensive mental health care. The study took a qualitative approach and was conducted from March to November 2024, with the aim of identifying professionals' understanding of the concept of interprofessional work and mapping the characteristics present in the process of caring for drug addicts at CAPS II. The professionals' understanding of interprofessionality varied. In addition, it was shown that the interprofessional model is not fully active, as it faces challenges such as a lack of professionals and adequate supplies and processes. However, despite the limited resources, it is clear that the team is committed to welcoming patients in an integral way, promoting dignity and collective efficacy in treatment.
