| Resume: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar o processo de colonização do oeste catarinense, com foco na cidade de Chapecó, e investigar como a identidade dos colonos é representada e reafirmada por meio do cinema no período de 1965 - 2014. O objetivo principal é compreender o papel do cinema na preservação da memória e na valorização cultural dos descendentes de imigrantes italianos e alemães, os quais chamamos de colonos. Por meio de análise de filmes regionais, revisão bibliográfica, a pesquisa identificou que o cinema tem sido fundamental para retratar o cotidiano dos colonos, destacando sua relação com a terra e os desafios históricos da imigração. Conclui-se que o cinema atua como uma ferramenta de reafirmação identitária, fortalecendo o vínculo cultural entre gerações e contribuindo para a valorização do patrimônio cultural local. |
| Resumen : | The present work aims to present the process of colonization in western Santa Catarina, focusing on the city of Chapecó, and to investigate how the identity of the settlers is represented and reaffirmed through cinema the 1965 - 2014. The main objective is to understand the role of cinema in preserving memory and promoting the cultural value of the descendants of Italian and German immigrants, referred to as settlers. Through analysis of regional films and a literature review, the research identified that cinema has been essential in portraying the daily life of the settlers, highlighting their relationship with the land and the historical challenges of immigration. It concludes that cinema acts as a tool for identity reaffirmation, strengthening the cultural bond between generations and contributing to the appreciation of local cultural heritage. |
