| Resume: | A vida no campo moldou o Brasil e suas configurações atuais, tornando fundamental a compreensão da cultura e das vivências das pessoas que são ou que vieram do meio rural para o estudo da sociedade brasileira. Este estudo tem como objetivo geral investigar como a moda de viola serve como ferramenta para compreender a cultura e a vivência do homem do campo, sua percepção das transformações socioterritoriais, como o êxodo rural, e a construção de sua identidade. Para tanto, empregou-se uma metodologia qualitativa, com análise interpretativa das letras de modas de viola, selecionadas por sua relevância na representação da vida rural, da migração e do retorno ao campo, a partir das lentes da geografia cultural. Os resultados demonstram que a moda de viola é um repositório expressivo das memórias, valores e sentimentos do povo do campo, idealizando o rural e criticando as dificuldades da vida urbana. A análise revelou as tensões da transição, as perdas identitárias e a persistência do forte vínculo afetivo com o espaço de origem, reiterando a eficácia da geografia cultural, aliada à análise musical, na compreensão aprofundada das dinâmicas sociais e espaciais do Brasil. |
| Abstract: | Rural life has shaped Brazil and its current configurations, making the understanding of the culture and experiences of people who are from or came from rural areas fundamental for the study of Brazilian society. This study's general objective is to investigate how "moda de viola" (Brazilian country folk music) serves as a tool to comprehend the culture and experiences of the rural individual, their perception of socio-territorial transformations, such as rural exodus, and the construction of their identity. To this end, a qualitative methodology was employed, featuring an interpretive analysis of "moda de viola" lyrics, selected for their relevance in representing rural life, migration, and the return to the countryside, through the lens of cultural geography. The results demonstrate that "moda de viola" is an expressive repository of the memories, values, and feelings of rural people, idealizing the rural and critiquing the difficulties of urban life. The analysis revealed the tensions of transition, identity losses, and the persistence of a strong emotional bond with the place of origin, reaffirming the effectiveness of cultural geography, combined with musical analysis, in deeply understanding Brazil's social and spatial dynamics. |
