| Resume: | O trabalho tem como principal objetivo abordar o Cemitério dos Degolados, localizado na cidade de Santo Augusto, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, sob a perspectiva de sua relevância histórica e patrimonial cultural. O cemitério é um resultado de um conflito da Revolução de 1923, com características que são contextualizadas e engendradas na Revolução Federalista (1893-1895), que teve um impacto significativo na região e deixou uma série de vítimas. O trabalho envolve levantamentos e análises bibliográficas encontradas em diversas fontes, tais como o Google Acadêmico, academia.edu, os periódicos da ANPUH e os arquivos municipais da cidade para a compreensão acerca dos eventos que permeiam o cemitério, assim como a memória, a patrimonialização e a morte. Ao estudar a necrópole como fonte, é possível entender melhor esses episódios históricos e preservar a memória das pessoas que morreram e foram inumadas durante essa revolução. O trabalho se concentra na relevância cultural do cemitério como consequência e testemunho deste evento, bem como em seu valor como patrimônio histórico, o qual é imprescindível ser preservado. |
| Abstract: | The study aim to approach the Cemitério dos Degolados, located in the city of Santo Augusto, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, from the perspective of its historical relevance and cultural heritage. The cemetery is a result of a conflict of the 1923 Revolution, with characteristics that are contextualized and engendered in the Federalist Revolution (1893-1895), which had a significant impact on the region and left a series of victims. The work involves surveys and bibliographical analyzes found in several sources, such as Google Scholar, academia.edu, ANPUH journals and the city's municipal archives, in order to understand the events that permeate the cemetery, as well as the memory, heritage and the death. By studying the necropolis as a source, it is possible to better understand these historical episodes and preserve the memory of the people who died and were buried during this revolution. The work focuses on the cultural relevance of the cemetery as a consequence and testimony of this event, as well as its value as a historical heritage, which is essential to be preserved. |
