Tapir : uma região cercada de mistérios e apreciada sob distintos ângulos pela bibliografia, pelos jornais e pela memória

Abstract

Understanding and discussing the history of a particular region is, above all, studying and preserving the memory of each person. Thus, it is also interlaced with the study of the culture, the identity, and the dimension of a determined place. Furthermore, the oral source adds living dimensions to the historian and new perspectives for the values of the historiography. This study starts from the aspects based on the Micro History which is the use of oral history. The main objective of this study is to assimilate the Armed Revolution in the Region of the Tapir, as which is located in Barão de Cotegipe. Nowadays, the figure of the former maragato Gaudêncio Dos Santos was an exponential landmark for the revolution, the Imaginary and the Social aspect. It is important to verify the whole context that developed from that period as well as the quarrel of the fact that it designated the imaginary and the social identity of the people who lived in this period and the fragments today perpetuate in the local history. The research follows the bibliographical research parameters, the document attainment, and the use of the Verbal History tools, as it is an essential landmark in a research based on the Micron History. In order to oppose, to analyze and to argue the visions of a single person, who had repercussions in the simple Region studied.
