A mulher negra na política brasileira: uma análise sobre representatividade

Abstract

This paper seeks to present and seriously discuss the participation of women in Brazilian politics, highlighting the presence of black women in a context of under-representation. In this way, it becomes important to think about raising awareness of gender equality and problematizing the barriers that women face in politics, and when it comes to black women the situation is even more absurd and vexatious, highlighting that the lack of representation can harm gender policies and democratic inclusion. The aim is therefore to analyze the inclusion of women, with an emphasis on black women in politics, highlighting structural inequalities and the role of intersectionality. The methodology involves qualitative and exploratory research, considering Brazil's political history and the barriers faced by "minority majorities". In short, the research aims to understand the space and role of black women in the search for effective participation in Brazilian politics and the possible strategies for overcoming barriers and achieving effective and democratic representation.
