Alcibíades Vargas da Cunha, vulgo gaiteiro: uma análise de caso do crime e cotidiano (Erechim/RS - 1950)

Abstract

The present research aims to approach the criminal trajectory of Alcebíades Vargas da Cunha, a subject with several prior encounters with the Justice system. For this purpose, a criminal case opened in 1957 is used, for the crime of homicide against his partner Dorvalina de Tal. The question that guides the research is: what is the trajectory of crimes of this subject? In addition, another question proves to be pertinent, after all, since he was well regarded by several voices in the case, what were the representations of the defendant? To answer these questions, a qualitative methodology was used, which values the micro-analysis of criminal case records. The results found were a trajectory permeated by violence, and convictions for Bodily Injury, homicide and defloration. Altogether, there were approximately twenty years of imprisonment; this represented half of his life with limitation of freedom. Moral values were also identified that permeate the different trials of the defendant; he, in turn, sought to use his reputation as a good worker as a foundation for lighter sentences, on the other hand, those who accused him used the transgression of moral principles to form an unfavorable conduct.
