| Resume: | Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo entender como a instituição escolar atua na manutenção da identidade Kaingang, partindo da necessidade de mostrar para as pessoas que no município de Benjamin Constant do Sul (RS), mais especificamente na aldeia de Votouro, existe uma escola infantil para as crianças desta etnia: a escola indígena de educação infantil Gir ST, fundada em 05 de março de 2012. É importante destacar que tal tipo de estrutura não existe nas outras comunidades kaingang localizadas no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. |
| Abstract: | This research aims to understand how the school institution acts in maintaining Kaingang identity, starting from the need to show people that in the municipality of Benjamin Constant do Sul (RS), more specifically in the village of Votouro, there is a preschool for children of this ethnic group: the Gir ST Indigenous preschool, founded on March 5, 2012. It is important to highlight that this type of structure does not exist in other Kaingang communities located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. |
