O potencial pedagógico da educação ambiental: um estudo a partir de uma experiência vivida pela EEB Saad Antônio Sarquis, chapecó-SC

Abstract

The present work reflects about the pedagogical potential of environmental education at the schooling process. Its main objective is to present a study about environmental education and sustainability at the school atmosphere from an experience lived at the Elementary School Saad Antônio Sarquis with the program “Parlamento Jovem”, accomplished in Santa Catarina state during the year of 2012. We used as methodology the bibliography and documental research and also roundtables. Starting with a theoretic interdisciplinary dialogue, we aimed to reinforce and defend the work with environmental education inside the school environment and their implied knowledge at the formation of a sustainable society. However, we also criticized these open possibilities in pedagogical handling about the environmental issue at school by means of project-based learning which, may be easily explored to a neoliberal business perspective of education.
