| Resume: | O trabalho se propõe a identificar qual era o relacionamento brasileiro com o Oriente Médio e principalmente com a República Islâmica do Irã, de forma a possibilitar a compreensão das relações que o Brasil manteve com este país durante a governança de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2010). São procurados os motivos que fizeram o governo brasileiro se aproximar do governo iraniano, com vista ao entendimento do suporte brasileiro dado ao programa nuclear deste parceiro não tradicional, cujas intenções eram questionadas por países ocidentais historicamente próximos ao Brasil. Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar o comportamento diplomático brasileiro, a opinião do governo Lula sobre assuntos de segurança internacional e o que o Brasil ganhou se aproximando do Irã. É utilizada a teoria de Immanuel Wallerstein, dos Sistemas-Mundo, para compreender qual era a conduta utilizada pelo governo brasileiro no âmbito internacional. As fontes utilizadas consistem em discursos de autoridades brasileiras sobre o Oriente Médio, a tecnologia nuclear e a relação com o Irã. Como resultado, a pesquisa constatou que o Brasil se aproximou do Irã principalmente por motivos políticos. |
| Abstract: | This work want to identify which was the brazilian relationship with the Middle East and principally with the Islamic Republic of Iran, making able the comprehension of the relations Brazil keeped with this country during the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003- 2010). Are searched the reasons that make the brazilian government got closer with the iranian government, trying to understand the support given by the brazilian government to the nuclear program of this non-traditional partner, wich intentions were questioned by ocidental countrys historically closer to Brazil. This work have as objective show the brazilian diplomatic behavior, the opinion of the Lula government about subjects of international security and what Brazil won getting closer to Iran. Is used the Immanuel Wallerstein teory, of the World-Systems, to compreend which was the conduct used by the brazilian government in the international ambit. The sources used consist in speeches of brazilian authorities about the Middle East, the nuclear technology and the relation with Iran. As a result, the research verified that Brazil got closer to Iran principally for political reasons. |
