Resumo: Esta pesquisa analisa a constituição identitária do sujeito entre-línguas.
Abstract/Resumen: This research analyzes the identity constitution of the between-language subject. Under the theoretical perspective of the French theory of Discourse Analysis, it discusses the relation between language, subject, identity, identification, discursive memory, between-languages. The corpus of analysis was built from an interview with students, descendants of Italian and German immigrants, of the Languages Course of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Chapecó campus. Through these interviews, we selected some parts from which it was possible to analyze how the between-language relationship challenges the subjects to assume places. We understand that being part of a social group is part of a process of belonging to the subject that, as long as it identified itself, feels accepted by this group. For Hall (2006), we all have a sense of identity that is linked to the notion of "belonging", of being part of an ethnic, linguistic, religious and national group. Considering that the notion of identity takes language as an element of constitution of the subject, we understand that the between-language relationship evidences a contradictory feeling of being here and there and do not belonging neither here nor there. For Coracini (2011a), this position creates tension, because while it marks the origin of the individual also it dislocates him in the sense of leaving without homeland, without identity. Thus, the identification, according to our view, point to a hybrid subject, surrounded by the different languages and cultures that surround him. This means that the subject constructs for himself an identity from the places he assumes, from the sayings to which he joins. In this way, being between-languages is being between- cultures. It is in this conflictive cultural movement that the subject constitutes and establishes itself, but also it hides. In order to work the conflicting feeling it is necessary to accept, that consists in understanding the other and understanding that we are all between-languages.
