Valorização e formação continuada de professores: um estudo no âmbito dos PMEs dos municípios da Associação dos Municípios do Alto Uruguai/RS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate how the valorization of teachers and their continuing education are addressed in the Municipal Education Plans of the municipalities of AMAU, in the north of Rio Grande do Sul. Thus, it was necessary to make notes about the concepts and purposes of continuing education; understand what the PNE is what its goals are; and to study the PMEs of the 32 municipalities that make up the AMAU - Association of Municipalities of Alto Uruguai. Through an exploratory and documentary approach, it was possible to observe that all PMEs bring continuing teacher education as one of the main goals for teacher appreciation, but not everyone makes clear their autonomy with regard to the strategies to be developed to guarantee such valuation; not all municipalities have explained figures about the intention to train their teachers, but some intend to have a teaching staff of 90% specialized professionals; all PMEs guarantee the minimum wage payment to teachers, but only a few expose the guarantee to offer paid leave to them, in order to do a specialization; all the municipalities ensure the physical structure of the school, but only a few speak of the importance of equipping the teacher with technologies to better develop their classes and teaching tasks.
