A formação da consciência histórica: uma reflexão do ensino de história na Escola Estadual Irany Jaime Farina em Erechim, RS

Abstract

The present work aimed to talk about the formation of the historical consciousness and of how the teaching of history in the Brazilian schools has been working on the formation of its students. Taking into account facts such as social context, previous educational training and age range, it was possible through interviews conducted in a public school of Basic Education in Brazil to know how these factors and other external factors, such as the mass media, interfere, contribute or change the view on basic social issues. In view of the Labor and Welfare Reform, the students of the last year of the High School of Basic Education of the State School Irany Jaime Farina in Erechim, RS, were asked about their degree of information about these measures. Thus, it was possible to establish relations of the social measures adopted, with the individual historical formation of each student in relation to Brazilian History.
