Abordagens sobre o município nas aulas de geografia nos anos iniciais: um estudo em Chapecó-SC

Abstract

The study of the municipality has become necessary since the first years of teaching fundamental, to understand the own place and to understand spatial organization, is necessary for the child to be able to locate in his own environment and thus relate his place to the world, perceiving an existing spatial organization. In this way it becomes indispensable to analyze how the municipal schools of the initial years work the own municipality. Because of that, was decided to elaborate this present work, which approaches the teaching of the municipality of Chapecó-SC in the initial years of Elementary School. In this way, it represents a qualitative research of bibliographical and documentary character, with general objective to ascertain how the municipal schools of Chapecó study the own municipality. As specific objectives it delimits: to identify the form that the schools of Chapecó study the own municipality in the initial years of the Elementary School; verify the difficulty that the teacher encounters in the classroom to work the municipality; describe how the schools work the municipality of Chapecó / SC in the initial years of elementary school and examine how the study of the municipality itself is done in the initial years of Elementary School. To achieve the expected results were followed some steps such as analysis of documents and materials available to elementary school teachers and students' notebooks, 3rd year of elementary school. Thus, the need to understand how the municipal schools of Chapecó approach the municipality itself in geography classes, since in these are concepts essential to the formative process of the subject, such as the notions of spatialization and the relations between man and nature.
