O estado da arte a respeito dos estudos sobre educação matemática, Paulo Freire e Vygotsky

Abstract

The present research has as theme the Mathematical Education and its relation with Paulo Freire and Vygotsky. The main objective was to map the research work in Mathematics Education related to the subject under study from 2007 to 2017 and to discuss and analyze the characteristics assumed by the works. It had by research problem: What are the characteristics and trends assumed by the researches in Mathematical Education that has by theoretical reference Paulo Freire and Vygotsky? A state of art from dissertations and theses were carried out, having as source, for the data collection, the portal of CAPES journals and a study of theories about Paulo Freire and Vygotsky. As data analysis methodology, an analysis was done per research unit and the data was subsequently categorized. The analysis was made, a priori, by units of investigation, called "first level analysis", which led to categorization by content. Among the studies related to Vygotsky, there were ten papers that are master's dissertations, six of them with voltage for Elementary School, nine of them being qualitative research. From the study on the theoretical perspectives of Paulo Freire and Vygotsky it was possible to present the tendencies and the characteristics assumed by the researches in mathematical education that are directed to the questions of fundamental education in the fundamental elementary school.
