Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze what philosophical theory of truth is present in Bloch’s and Febvre’ writings. In addition to this, there is the intention to see if the theory present in the founders of the Annales is similar to that which guides the writings of the methodical historians Langlois and Seignobos, considering that the discourse of the "Annales" historians, mainly Febvre, as other heirs of this movement, is a rupture in relation to methodical historiography. Based on this, the idea of "historiographical revolution" is challenged, pointing out the continuities between these historiographies. This study demands interdisciplinarity and conducts dialogues between history and philosophy areas. In order to meet these objectives, first, the emergence and institutionalization of the Annales was presented, contextualizing the movement in the historical-scientific context at the threshold of the twentieth century and exposing some interdisciplinary dialogues by Bloch and Febvre. In the first chapter the notion of paradigm was commented and the idea of historiography rupture of the Annales was questioned, it was also realized that many of the aspects announced as novelty were already present in the "traditional" historiography. In a second moment it was clarified what truth is, what truth bearers are, and the theories of truth as correspondence and coherence were presented, and then in the third part of this dissertation, those questions were analyzed in the "annales" historians writings. The main sources of analysis were: The Problem of Unbelief in the Sixteenth Century and The Comebacks through History by Febvre; The Historian’s Craft and The Thaumaturge Kings by Bloch and Introduction to the Study of History by Seignobos and Langlois. It was realized that, except for some specificities, the definition and truth-identification criteria of Bloch, Febvre, Seignobos and Langlois are very close. These historians define the truth as a correspondence between the statements contained in the testimony and/or historical science and the facts pertaining to the reality of the past. Furthermore, they understand that the criteria that identify the true statements contained in the testimony are based on the coherence between these testimonies and other vestiges and on the historical knowledge already produced. It seems, therefore, that the notion of truth is another trace of continuity between the historiographies in question.
