Educação ambiental no ensino de ciências e biologia: análise da produção dos artigos publicados na revista eletrônica do mestrado em educação ambiental - REMEA (2004-2015)

Abstract

Environmental Education (EA) contributes to an educative action in the formation of conscious citizens who can make coherent decisions regarding the environment. The aim of this study is to investigate AE in Science Teaching (EC) and Biology Teaching (EB) and to identify the different ways in which EA has been developed and addressed as a teaching strategy through the analysis of the production of articles published in the Journal Electronic Master's in Environmental Education (REMEA) from 2004 to 2015. In order to carry out this work, 36 articles were selected from among 614, with the theme EA in EC and EB. We began to pre-select the articles with the search for the keywords (Environmental Education in Teaching Science and Teaching Biology) and reading the titles and abstract according to the theme, followed by reading the articles, analyzing and categorizing them in REMEA. The selected articles were categorized from the educational levels: Early Childhood Education (1:36), Elementary School (4:36), Secondary Education (2:36), Youth and Adult Education (6:36), General (2:36), Higher Education (13:36) and Continued Teacher Training (8:36). We believe that from the thematic focus used to approach the AE, at different educational levels, new methodological procedures can be developed that may be more present in schools.
