Evasão escolar e repetência de alunos na transição do ensino fundamental para o ensino médio em escola do campo

Abstract

This work was developed on the basis of qualitative and descriptive field research, in order to clarify the reasons for dropout, repetition and consequently the reduction of ongoing classes in the 9th year of elementary school and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year of high school, considering that in the trainees the primary education presented a greater number of students, compared with the secondary education. The methods used for data collection were the questionnaires and data from the school, and from these tables and tables were elaborated, the tables first contain information of students enrolled in the beginning of the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, of the classes of the 9th grade of elementary school and 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of high school, and the sum of students evaded, and repeaters from the same years. The second research method was to elaborate nine open questions for students to answer in the school environment, three questions were for personal information and the other questions were objective questions. School dropout is understood by that student who failed with more than 25% of the grade and / or grade, but did not enroll in the following year, and was different from the student who repeats for infrequency and / or grade and enrolled again the following year at school. The information obtained for this work was collected in a state public school with indigenous students and children of farmers. In consideration of this, the school characterizes a country school. According to the data acquired for this study, we analyze different types of actions that lead to the degradation of the classes of the final years of basic education in the school, participant of this research, and some of the actions in elementary education are related to the lack of students' interests, and lack of attention in the classes, already in high school the difficulties of students are assimilated the contents. The present research does not have as obligation to exhaust the theme but to bring reflections and discussions about school dropout, repetition of students in primary and secondary education.
