Descarte dos resíduos sólidos no município de São Pedro do Butiá

Abstract

The present work deals with the responsibility of the municipalities with the destination of solid waste produced by the residents. The study approaches, based on a bibliographical research and documentary analysis, especially on the contracts of the bidding companies, how São Pedro do Butiá, Rio Grande do Sul, sited up to the National Policy on Solid waste Law number 12,305/10. The collection in the studied town is carried out through a truck collector / compactor that transport the waste to the place of realization of the triage. The triage is carried out in the town of Campina das Missões, RS. The company is selected through a bidding process, where the winner is the one with the best price proposal. The provision of services requires supervision, to follow the effectiveness of the clauses expressed in the contract. The study aims to verify if the solid wastes have an ecologically adequate destination, as is the sorting of the materials that can be reused, and how the others should be compacted and treated appropriately. Through the analysis, through qualitative research, it can be seen that all the stipulated standards are fulfilled, from the process in which the bids occur, until the collection, sorting, and the grounding of the residues that can not be reused.
