Avaliação na educação infantil: estudo de caso em escolas públicas erechinenses

Abstract

In this dissertation entitled Evaluation in Early Childhood Education: a case study in Erechim public schools analyze the evaluation instruments currently used in the public schools of Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Erechim / RS and the possibilities and limits they offer from the perspective of teachers and managers. In order to base this work, we sought authors with solid studies in the area of evaluation, such as Guimarães and Oliveira, Hoffmann and Luckesi. This dissertation has a qualitative approach, where a case study was made based on the bibliographical research, documentary analysis and questionnaire application with the teachers and managers of the schools of Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Erechim RS. The results indicated that, at the moment, descriptive evaluations are the most relevant instrument among schools and have a great acceptance among teachers to describe the development of children's learning. It was also observed that the conception of evaluation that has permeated in most institutions and bases the writing of the document is formative, which is based on the learning process and not only on the search for results. Therefore, it was possible to conclude that the erechinenses schools are gradually evolving in the quest for the production of more meaningful and singular evaluations that respect the child individuality and which increasingly describes their school experiences.
