Abstract: | Based on Foucault's studies, this dissertation aims to analyze the game and the limits between the resistances and the relations of knowledge-power in Linn da Quebrada's discourse. The work, initially, starts from some strategic changes by Foucault, from the end of the 1970s, to address another axis that produces subjectivity, ethics. The author's displacement consists of replacing the concept of power with the notion of government, understood as a way of conducting conduct. This shift allows Foucault to analyze other modes of government, such as self-government. In this modality of subjectivity, what is at stake is the subject's relationship with himself, so that it would be possible to produce effects on himself and on others. In this sense, the present work seeks to identify elements in Linn da Quebrada's discourse, which can signal tension in power relations and shifts in his subjectivity, which will be understood here as resistance. For this, the research traces the constitution of devices of race, gender and sexuality, emphasizing the biopolitical character that produces death of the respective devices, to later identify tension and destabilizations within these technologies of power. The analysis material consists of a set of interviews granted by the artist between 2016 and 2019 and her phonographic production. The corpus will be analyzed with the purpose of describing tension and destabilization from three central categories, namely: veridiction, a viable speech, and violence. The conclusions point to the permanence of a relationship of mutual encouragement, between the Thanatopolitics and a field of resistance of the subjects. So, Linn da Quebrada's speech makes use of the body itself as a field of dispute and confrontation through an aesthetic. |
