O ensino da língua inglesa na educação básica: Contribuições para o ensino e aprendizagem

Abstract

This dissertation deals with the teaching of the English language in basic education using teaching practices that cooperate with learning. The general objective of this work was to contribute to the teaching of English in basic education. This research is of a qualitative nature, using bibliographic and documentary research and the study turned to the final years of elementary school. This completed research found that it is possible to include contributory work, teachers' experiences, training carried out by the teachers themselves from their experiences, working with what they have in their own context. The research points out the need for curricular guidelines in specialization-level courses that help English language teachers to work together with other professionals and also carry out their own training together with students, respecting the knowledge already acquired and making exchanges from the context of each one. These guidelines are intended to assist and complement the knowledge of these teachers.
