dc.description.abstract | The present study aimed to identify the antimicrobial activity of the aqueous extract of the pecan shell by the macrodilution and plating method against the gram-positive bacteria Streptococcus agalactiae ATCC 27956 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and gramnegative Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Shigella flexneri ATCC 12022 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, which obtained positive results for total inhibition of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and decreased significantly colony forming unit in the decreasing plaques from the strongest to the weakest extract. It was evidenced that the extract of concentration 15% was the most efficient. | pt_BR |
dc.description.resumo | O presente estudo teve como objetivo identificar a atividade antimicrobiana do extrato aquoso da casca de noz-pecã, pelo método de macrodiluição e plaqueamento frente às bactérias grampositivas Streptococcus agalactiae ATCC 27956 e Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 e gram-negativas Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Shigella flexneri ATCC 12022 e Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853º. Todos os microrganismos, tanto gram- positivos como os gramnegativos, analisados foram inibidos pelo extrato aquoso da casca de noz-pecã. Sendo que todas as bactérias tiveram nível de inibição e, apenas, a bactéria E.coli foi sensível a todas as concentrações do extrato. | pt_BR |
