Abstract: | This dissertation intends to carry out reflections on an autobiographical document entitled "Documentary of an immigrant: Lydia." The author of the writing of self, Lídia Brisolin, is an immigrant woman, who moves from European territory to Brazil, together with her family, in the late 1930s, at the age of 9. In 2014, at the age of 87, he decided to report his career in a manuscript with 119 pages. The main objective is to investigate the guiding thread of your life story. The hypothesis for this issue is that Lydia uses the family as the backdrop of her narrative. Since the source is an autobiographical report, a historical retrospective is carried out, perceiving the process that resulted in the (re)valorization of this source, as a scientific object, in the various areas of knowledge. In order to interpret Lydia's life story, elaborated through self-writing, it seeks to permeate its historical context in order to better understand its account and unravel the guiding thread. It is also reflected on the power relations about the gender category, because it was perceived that Lydia focuses on these issues and is part of the socially imposed patriarchal discursive logic. These gender-based violence is placed in Lydia's account, in several excerpts of her writing, in a naturalized way and meet the hypothesis that we perceive as the guiding thread of her writing. It was based on some concepts departing from hermeneutictheors to perform the analysis since it, as Diltey (1999, p. 31) wrote, can be configured as an approach that makes it possible to understand "the author better than he himself understood". |
