| Resume: | O presente trabalho objetivou apresentar os impactos da educação no processo de envelhecimento, no qual é considerado como um processo natural e nele muitas questões merecem atenção, a sociedade está envelhecendo. Diante disso o presente trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva, utilizando-se da técnica da entrevista semiestruturada, na qual possibilitou investigar a realidade do contexto escolar na modalidade Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) na Escola Básica Municipal de Educação de Jovens e Adultos Paulo Freire local onde os idosos pesquisados estavam inseridos. As discussões do presente trabalho contaram com a temática do envelhecimento, as concepções sobre esse processo na sociedade, a trajetória histórica do EJA, e também com as questões relacionados às legislações referentes aos direitos dos idosos e principalmente ao direito fundamental à educação. Os resultados demonstraram que a educação passou por diferentes configurações durante a formação da sociedade brasileira, assumindo diferentes papéis, ideologias e interesses por parte do Estado, na atualidade identificou-se que ela contribui para melhora da qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa. |
| Abstract: | The present work aimed to present the impacts of education on the aging process, in which it is considered as a natural process and in it many issues deserve attention, society is aging. Therefore, the present work is the result of a qualitative and descriptive research, using the semi-structured interview technique, in which it made it possible to investigate the reality of the school context in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality in the Paulo Freire's Municipal Basic School of Youth and Adult Education where the elderly surveyed were inserted. The discussions of the present work had the theme of aging, the conceptions about this process in society, the historical trajectory of the EJA, and also with issues related to legislation related to the rights of the elderly and mainly fundamental right to education. The results showed that education went through different configurations during the formation of Brazilian society, assuming different roles, ideologies and interests by the State, currently it was identified that it contributes to improving the quality of life of the elderly person. |
