Abstract: | Philosophy is connected to the way of thinking of man since the ancient period when the reflection on life and the natural conditions of the human being became relevant to the model of people's lives. Education in the same sense is part of the entire history of humanity because it is related to man and his conduct to social life, exercising the function of guiding, teaching, and training individuals capable of living in this environment. In these terms, the present work presents an analysis and propositions to a philosophy of education that is guided by the foundations of human experience as an action that conducts life, which continues in constant movement. This Course Conclusion Paper (TCC) has the central objective of studying the arguments brought up in the Philosophy of Education presented by John Dewey, starting from the work of this North American author: “Democracy and Education” (1916), agreeing, with the background, to verify the relevance and repercussion of his thinking in the educational debates that take place today in Brazil. What is presented, therefore, is a synthetic opinion of the history of education and its trajectory until the present times, in addition to the competences destined to it during its trajectory in the social environment, and reflections on its importance and viable methodological models in the individual formation. |
