Abstract

This research has as theme the digital technologies in the education and its central objective is to investigate in the document of the Common National Curricular Base and in the scientific publications, elements that show the use of the technologies in the early years of the elementary school. The specific objectives are: to approach the concept of technologies, media, and Information and Communication Technology, based on bibliographic reference, to analyze the considerations of the Common National Curricular Base for the use of technologies in the early years of elementary school, and to discuss the potentials and the limitations of the use of digital technologies in the early years of the elementary school. The main research question is: How the CNCB and scientific publications approaches the technologies in the early years of the elementary school? It is a qualitative study with bibliographic and documentary character. For this study, there are the authors’ contributions: Fagundes (2011); Kenski (2012); Bannell (2016); Junior, Menez, Wunsch (2018); Moran (2000) Pacheco (2019); Pasquali, Fontana (2014); Abreu, Setzer, (2020); Maia, Matias (2017); UNESCO (2009). As a result, we showed the technologies as a possibility to promote the teaching and learning process, since technologies permeate the students’ context, that is, they are part of the people’s life motivate, hold attention and make the classroom space dynamic and attractive. The ICTs dispose information and the teacher is a mediator, therefore, the student can empower himself/herself with information, understand it, in order to make the best use of knowledge construction. The ICTs, allied to the educational planning, encourage the creative, critical and logical thinking and, in this way, enlarge the self-understanding, the world by the social interaction. The Internet has potential, specially in this moment of pandemic, however, it is unevenly shared between the individuals.
