| Resume: | O estudo avaliou o sofrimento mental e o padrão do uso de tabaco e álcool entre outras substâncias de estudantes de graduação da Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, do tipo transversal, realizada em todos os seis campi da UFFS. Foram selecionados todos os estudantes maiores de 18 anos com matrícula ativa no primeiro semestre de 2021. Integraram a amostra 323 participantes. A coleta de dados foi realizada online entre novembro e dezembro de 2021 através de elementos de escalas validadas para o Brasil, sendo elas: Self-Reporting Questionnaire; Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test e Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test e Mini inventory neuropsychiatric interview-mini. Os resultados foram submetidos a análise estatística e estarão disponíveis para a pró-reitoria de pesquisa e pós-graduação e para a de assuntos estudantis; divulgados em eventos científicos e encaminhada para revistas. Foi obtido 323 respostas dos estudantes, sendo a maior parte dos participantes do sexo feminino, católicos e trabalham informalmente e oriundas de cidade que não tem campus da UFFS. Foi identificado um grande consumo de diversas substancias, destacando a utilização de álcool 93,8% já usaram ao menos uma vez, e a droga ilícita mais utilizada é a maconha 146(45,2%), também é evidenciado a grande quantidade de alunos em sofrimento mental (56%) e aluno com altas chances de cometer suicídio (16,7%). Quando foi realizado testes paramétricos foi concluído a interação positiva do uso de maconha na chance de desenvolver sofrimento mental, chances de suicídio e maior relação com o consumo de álcool. No final da pesquisa foi possível concluir a necessidade de haver programas para reduzir danos no consumo de substâncias e desenvolver projetos e locais para o diálogo sobre sofrimento mental e suicídio, além disto se faz necessário a repetição deste estudo para verificar a realidade dos estudantes da graduação, caso ocorram intervenções |
| Resumen : | The study evaluated the mental suffering and the pattern of tobacco and alcohol use among other substances of undergraduate students at the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul. This is a cross-sectional quantitative research carried out on all six UFFS campuses. All students over 18 years of age with active enrollment in the first semester of 2021 were selected. The sample comprised 323 participants. Data collection was carried out online between November and December 2021 through elements of scales validated for Brazil, namely: Self-Reporting Questionnaire; Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test and Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test and Mini inventory neuropsychiatric interview-mini. The results were submitted to statistical analysis and will be available to the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies and to the Dean of Student Affairs; published in scientific events and forwarded to journals. 323 responses were obtained from students, most of the participants being female, Catholic and working informally and coming from cities that do not have a UFFS campus. A large consumption of several substances was identified, highlighting the use of alcohol, 93.8% had used it at least once, and the most used illicit drug is marijuana 146 (45.2%), it is also evidenced the large number of students in mental distress (56%) and student with high chances of committing suicide (16.7%). When parametric tests were performed, the positive interaction of marijuana use in the chance of developing mental suffering, chances of suicide and greater relationship with alcohol consumption was concluded. At the end of the research, it was possible to conclude the need for programs to reduce damages in substance consumption and to develop projects and places for dialogue about mental suffering and suicide, in addition, it is necessary to repeat this study to verify the reality of undergraduate students. , if interventions occu. |
