O papel do coordenador pedagógico da primeira infância

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role played by the pedagogical coordinator and their performance in the context of Early Childhood Education, through research conducted with professionals who work in institutions that serve this stage of teaching, seeking answers regarding the knowledge acquired with and for the coordination position and its functions within schools. The research was articulated around the concept that managers are a fundamental part for the functioning and organization of school routine, with coordinators having specific responsibilities predestined to their position. The methodology used involves bibliographic and documentary research and data collection through an online questionnaire, which occurred in a qualitative way, contemplating the collaboration of 11 Pedagogical Coordinators working in kindergarten schools in the public and private sector of the municipality of Erechim – RS. The study also rescues some narratives that expose the experiences of the participants regarding the act of gestating and, about their memories of class conduct, mediated by the relationships established with their Coordinators. Throughout three chapters, a brief literature review is demonstrated, addressing the organization and functionality of school management, the performance of the pedagogical coordinator and its formative role in Early Childhood Education. It is concluded that the role of the Coordinator goes far beyond signing minutes and monitoring the planning of teachers, it constitutes the active and significant presence within the educational institution, in its organization, reception and planning, aiming at the improvement of all professionals present there, ensuring an environment conducive to quality learning.
