Uma noite no museu: possibilidades pedagógicas a partir de um projeto de educação não formal

Abstract

The present work aims to present research carried out from a non-formal education project called Uma Noite no Museu, which is promoted by the Municipal Museum Irmã Celina Schardong, in the municipality of Gaurama RS. The research consists of investigating the pedagogical possibilities that the Museum offers and that can be used to enrich or complement the formal curriculum of the Initial Years of Elementary School of the schools that participate in the project. The methodology used involves bibliographic research, interviews with coordinators and children who participated in the project and analysis of documents such as the National Curricular Guidelines for Elementary Education and the National Curricular Common Base. Over three chapters, the study makes a historical contextualization about the term of nonformal education and the legitimacy of museums as educational spaces, and demonstrates that the collection contained in the Irmã Celina Schardong Museum goes beyond the jurisdictions of History teaching and enables the approach pedagogy of themes from all areas of knowledge that the DCNEF guide for the Initial Years of Elementary School. In addition, the work demonstrates that non-formal education and the formal teaching method are not opposed, but can have a peaceful coexistence and complementarity.
