Abstract

The present research aimed to identify the investor profile of undergraduate Business Administration students at Campus Chapecó of the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul - UFFS and its connection with the impact of financial education on them. For the study, an online survey was carried out with the academics and the data were collected through the application of a questionnaire, obtaining 86 responses, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation. The results indicate that the majority of students have a moderate profile in relation to their investments and that, throughout graduation, they improve their financial skills, since at the beginning of graduation they invest in lower risk modalities and over the semesters they take greater risks in exchange for better income. Nevertheless, when dealing with the impact that the graduation generates in relation to the experience with investments, it was perceptible that the graduation influences positively, once the percentage of undergraduate students without experience with investments decreased drastically during the course. Still, the students claim that there was a significant change in relation to the control of their personal finances since the beginning of graduation, as well as the development of financial skills and investments in general. Ultimately, the results obtained through the correlations attest that throughout the graduation, the academics develop experiences with investments and diversify more than in the initial semesters of the graduation
