A Educação do Campo: avanços e desafios em uma comunidade indígena Guarani no município de Erebango/RS.

Abstract

Rural Education is a formal education modality, offered to the various and differentiated populations that live and work in the Brazilian rural environment, while working on curricular contents, it also plays a social role, as it values individual, cultural, political aspects. and economic aspects of each rural group. For this reason, it has some characteristics that differentiate it from a standard formal education. This research is of a qualitative nature, with the general objective of analyzing and describing the struggle of the Guarani indigenous people, from Aldeia Mato Preto, in the municipality of Erebango -RS, to guarantee access to land, in a scenario of great tensions and conflicts. across the territory, we also seek to interact with the existing education in the community, which is classified as an Indigenous School Education, focused on teaching and learning contextualized with their reality, in order to strengthen the culture and identity, having as a research field the Vicente Karaí Okendá Indigenous State Elementary School. As specific objectives, this research intends to a) Describe the search for the right to a Rural Education, b) Analyze aspects of the indigenous question in the National Common Curricular Base, c) Discuss the approximations between the proposal of Indigenous Education and Popular Education, and d) Analyze and describe the process of searching for land and the opening of this new rural school, in a scenario where more and more peasant communities have been suffering from the effects of the closure of their schools.
