Inserção das atividades de extensão e cultura nos cursos de graduação em enfermagem: um olhar fundamentado na Resolução do Conselho Nacional de Educação nº 7, de 18 de dezembro de 2018

Abstract

The National Education Plan 2014-2024 established by Law 13,005 of June 25, 2014 provides, in its goal 12.7, the curricularization of extension, of which 10% of the total workload of the undergraduate course must be destined for this purpose. CNE Resolution No. 7 of December 18, 2019, establishes the guidelines and regulates the provisions of target 12.7. Therefore, aiming at the importance of extension on the social commitment that institutions have, this work aimed to identify how Nursing Undergraduate courses propose the inclusion of extension and culture activities in the curriculum to comply with Resolution nº 7. This is an exploratory study of a documentary type, with a qualitative approach. For the collection, a public survey was carried out in the months of November/2022, December/2022 and January/2023, to search for Pedagogical Projects of the Undergraduate Course in Nursing, which have already been updated, having found a total of nine PPC , whose reading resulted in the knowledge of the internal resolutions of each institution, thus aiming at the autonomy that they possess. Likewise, the strategies used by each Nursing course to insert Extension and culture in their curricula were identified. It is concluded that the extension and culture curricularization activities need to be more detailed in the PPC of the analyzed courses, with emphasis on clarifying how the undergraduate course will carry out the insertion, and how the hours will be credited in the academic curriculum. It is worth highlighting the relevance of the extension and culture curriculum in Brazilian higher education, since the movement reaffirms the social commitment of institutions with the communities where they operate.
