A literatura e o ato de ler para/com o outro no contexto do Congresso Brasileiro de Leitura: compreensões sobre os caminhos para a formação de leitores

Abstract

From a context of thinking of literature as a place of interaction and problematizing the possibilities of interlocution with the literary word and considering the importance of scientific events for the construction of understandings about this theme, we chose the Congresso de Leitura do Brasil – COLE – as source to look at works and academic research about the formation of a taste for reading and the act of reading to/with the other in the processes of formation of readers. Thus, this course conclusion work has the general objective of understanding how the relations between the act of reading to/with the other and the formation of a taste for reading the literary word are treated throughout the 23 editions of the Congresso Brasileiro de Leitura – COLE. In order to build understandings about this general objective, we organized three specific objectives: a) Understanding theoretical assumptions of the reading relation to/with the other; b) Study possible relationships between the act of reading to/with the other and the formation of a taste for reading the literary word; c) Build an overview of how the relationship of reading to/with the other and the formation of a taste for reading the literary word has been discussed in COLE editions. The understanding process was built based on the socio-interactionist perspective of language, using the comparison methodology proposed by Mikhail Bakhtin and by the Bakhtinian Circle. In addition, we take the propositions about the reading of authors such as Paulo Freire and João Wanderley Geraldi. One of the main results achieved by this research was the understanding of different possibilities for building a taste for reading and reading for others as a powerful place for word meeting.
