| Resumo: | O presente trabalho consiste na aproximação da Geografia e do Cinema, utilizando de conceitos de paisagem, medo, paisagens do medo e o gênero fílmico terror com o objetivo de compreender a construção de uma paisagem do medo em filmes de terror ligados intrinsecamente à figura da bruxa. Analisamos três filmes: A Bruxa de Blair (Daniel Myrick e Eduardo Sanchez, 1999), A Bruxa (Robert Egger, 2016) e A Bruxa da Casa ao lado (Brett Pierce e Drew T. Pierce, 2021). Para isso utilizou-se de levantamento de bibliografias e referenciais teóricos, por conseguinte os filmes foram visualizados com uma análise fenomenológica e interpretativa, descrevendo a edificação da paisagem do medo construída em um espaço fílmico próprio, uma paisagem fílmica do medo, sendo assim, uma abordagem com caráter qualitativo. Dessa forma, compreendeu-se que um filme do gênero fílmico terror que carrega a figura bruxólica relacionada intrinsecamente a uma paisagem florestal, possui clichês cinematográficos e culturais, com a utilização de sons, imagens, símbolos e lendas comuns ao espaço geográfico real, e com a massificação de obras que contenham elementos dessas imagens é possível ou não o uso de alegorias para identificar um possível medo na sociedade diante da figura da bruxa; o medo do feminino, o medo da natureza, o medo de culturas pagãs, o medo de perder uma prole, ainda assim, a figura da bruxa também pode representar alegorias positivas dependendo de seu contexto fílmico narrativo. |
| Abstract/Resumen: | The present work consists of the approximation of Geography and Cinema, using concepts of landscape, fear, landscapes of fear and the film genre terror in order to understand the construction of a landscape of fear in terror films linked to the figure of the witch. We analyzing three films: The Blair Witch (Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez, 1999), The Witch (Robert Egger, 2016) and The Wretched (Brett Pierce and Drew T. Pierce, 2021). For that, bibliographies and theoretical references were used, therefore, the films were viewed with a phenomenological and interpretative analysis, describing the building of the landscape of fear built in its own filmic space, a landscape filmic of fear, thus being an approach, with qualitative character. In this way, it was understood that a film of the horror film genre that carries the witch figure intrinsically related to a forest landscape, has cinematographic and cultural clichés, with the use of sound, imagens, symbols and legends common to the real geographic space, and with the massification of works that contain elements of theses imagens it is possible or not to uses allegories to identify a possible fear in society in the face of the witch; the fear of the feminine, the fear of nature, the fear of pagan cultures, the fear of losing one child, yet the figure of the witch can also represent positive allegories depending on her narrative film context. |
