Materiais e materialidades nos ambientes de educação infantil: diversificando e ampliando relações e experiências

Abstract

The present study is a qualitative bibliographic research that aims to analyze and critically reflect on the objects and materials offered to children aged 0 to 6 in early childhood education contexts. The general objective is to investigate, in the theoretical production in the area of Early Childhood Education and Art, studies and research on objects/materials made available to children in institutional spaces, reflecting on the indications of this production for the educational-pedagogical process in these contexts. The study analyzed eight articles located on the Google Scholar platforms and the CAPES Periodicals Portal and revealed the potential of diverse materials and the need to build environments that ensure children's rights combined with teaching intentionality aimed at promoting autonomy, creativity, diverse experiences and learning. . It became evident that Art, and especially Contemporary Art, challenges the education of young children, offering unique opportunities for redefining educational spaces and offering materials.
