Agroecologia, saúde coletiva e promoção da saúde: interfaces e mediação prática

Abstract

This research is based on the perception of the need for rigorous analysis and theoretical discussion about health. In this way, the work seeks to highlight the interfaces between agroecology, collective health, as well as forms of health promotion. It is known that there is a predominance of the biomedical model, that is, the curative, specialized and medicinal logic and, as a result, more practical mediations and public policies aimed at promoting health are necessary. Therefore, the main issue of this study is understanding how agroecology (as a practical mediation) will contribute to the achievement of collective health and health promotion. Regarding the methodological resolution adopted for the development of this work, priority was given to the investigative path based on bibliographic sources that analyze and shed light on the central themes that involve the theme of the work, therefore, of a bibliographic

nature, of a qualitative nature. Regarding the presentation of the results of the theoretical- bibliographical investigation, this research is structured into three chapters: in the first,

fundamental theoretical elements sought (made clear) the interfaces and connections between agroecology, collective health and health promotion considering multidimensionality and the intersectorality of the major pillars. The second chapter focuses on agroecology, food, soil health, water health and a sustainable environment. Finally, in the third chapter, the fundamental practical-political notions, interfaces and connections between agroecology, collective health and health promotion contributed to its understanding and are fundamental for defining intervention strategies. The achievement of collective health and health promotion presupposes the materialization of all intertwined elements in their entirety, as well as through transformative processes. In other words, it is concluded that agroecology is a material factor and fundamental practical mediation for a process of transition and creation of conditions for environmental and biodiverse health.
