| Resume: | Para compreender o cotidiano dos balseiros, é preciso primeiramente compreender o processo de povoamento e colonização da região do Oeste Catarinense, que teve seu desenvolvimento intrínseco à devastação da mata nativa por empresas madeireiras no século XX. Sendo assim, a presente pesquisa teve como objetivo principal investigar o cotidiano e os hábitos alimentares dos balseiros do Rio Uruguai, durante as viagens de balsa, realizando, primeiramente, um panorama geral sobre a História do Oeste Catarinense e sua colonização, e depois analisando fotografias de viagens para compreender melhor sobre o cotidiano dos trabalhadores nas balsas, bem como seus hábitos alimentares. Para isso, uma análise de fotografias disponibilizadas em centros de memória, como o Centro de Memória do Oeste Catarinense (CEOM), e o Museu do Balseiro de Itá, foi realizada. As análises foram feitas a partir da perspectiva da História do Cotidiano e da análise de fotografias, amparada em um referencial teórico, contando com a bibliografia de autores que trabalham história do cotidiano, fotografia e colonização do oeste catarinense, como Agnes Heller, Boris Kossoy e Eli Bellani, respectivamente. | Resumen : | To understand the daily life of the barge workers, it is necessary to first understand the process of settlement and colonization of the West of Santa Catarina region, which was intrinsically linked to the deforestation caused by timber companies in the 20th century. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate the daily life and eating habits of the barge workers on the Uruguay River during their barge journeys. The research begins with a general overview of the history of the West of Santa Catarina and its colonization, followed by an analysis of photographs from the trips to gain a better understanding of the workers' daily routines and eating habits. For this purpose, an analysis of photographs available in memory centers such as the Centro de Memória do Oeste Catarinense (CEOM) and the Museu do Balseiros de Itá will be conducted. The analysis will be approached from the perspective of the History of Everyday Life and the analysis of photographs, supported by a theoretical framework, drawing on the bibliography of authors who study the history of everyday life, photography, and the colonization of the West of Santa Catarina, such as Agnes Heller, Boris Kossoy, and Eli Bellani, respectively. In this way, it is expected that this research can contribute to future studies on the history of everyday life of the barge workers |
